The secrets of Pannelli d’Autore
Made of natural material
The collection of the “Pannelli d’Autore” is made of cotton linters, and is signed by Alessandro D’Aquila. In his works, the artist depicts landscapes and synthetic portraits, reducing the descriptive elements and keeping only the forms of color, to leave space to the emotions of the observer in the reconstruction of the image in its entirety. This vision combines perfectly with our cotton cellulose processing technique for making these panels.
The artist, as a title of the work, uses braille to provoke in the observer a sense of loss in not being able to decipher a language unknown to him but at the same time the image represented leads back to his recognition and his name.
Each element that makes up the panel is created by the overlapping of various layers of cellulose processed and colored by hand with natural earth and without the use of mordant, for the creation of furnishings of great value and visual impact.
The collection is on the one hand a tribute to the great cinema represented by icons of style of the past and always current and more contemporary characters but already entered the modern culture and on the other a memory of the landscapes of the land of origin of the artist from which took inspiration for his “Synthetic Landscapes” reduced to simple shapes of color.
